The reports of new Galaxy S II shipments with Ice Cream Sandwich on-board started circulating on Twitter this weekend and were confirmed by more than one buyers that their brand new Galaxy S II smartphones are running on official Android 4.0 firmware from Samsung.
As per the buyers, the boxes of these units showed April, 2012 import date, so if you are planning to grab the Galaxy S II, look for April or later in import date to get the ICS pre-loaded version of the smartphone.
Korean manufacturer has already started rolling out ICS in several countries, but Indian consumers are still waiting for the update. As the new units of the smartphone are running on Android 4.0.3, we hope that company soon pushes update for other owners as well.
