Motorola India has started releasing the Ice Cream Sandwich update for Motorola RAZR and RAZR Maxx smartphones today. The update is being rolled-out over-the-air and is about 200MB in size, stated Motorola in the release notes.

Company has also announced that it is bundling nine popular EA games free of cost with the ICS update for the RAZR and RAZR Maxx users.

Consumers will not able to revert to Gingerbread after upgrading to Android 4.0, noted Motorola.

Change-log

  • An updated look and feel
  • Homescreen customization and navigation changes
  • Changes to Social Networking
  • Improved voice recognition

These are the first smartphones from the company to get the ICS update, and only a select few other phones will be getting this update. Motorola has one of the worst records in Android manufacturers in providing updates for its smartphones and as the company is now a part of Google, we expect that it will improve on this front.
