Motorola seems to have already started working on its fourth generation Moto X flagship smartphone, with a leaked image showing up handset reaches the Web. The company had launched its last Moto X flagship in the form of the Moto X Style back in July.

The image published by CNBeta website shows the unannounced Motorola Moto X (Gen 4) rear panel but fails to throw light on its specifications. The website adds that the image might be displaying a test model so there can be some changes by the time the smartphone hits the shelves.

The first thing we notice in the leaked image is the smartphone's full metal body along with a huge circular rear camera. Although the purported shape of the upcoming Moto X (Gen 4) falls in line with the previous Moto X models, the rear camera, flash and the Motorola logo at the rear panel are seen placed without the now familiar capsule-shaped metal closing. The rear camera lens is protected with a large glass, similar to the Moto 360 smartwatch's circular dial and has dual-tone LED flash placed inside it. The speaker grille is seen below at the rear panel unlike the previous Moto X smartphones, which feature speaker grille at the bottom panel. The flat 'Motorola' logo with mirror finish is placed at the centre. There are also three buttons on the right-side bezel of the device.

From the large camera lens we are assuming Motorola with its upcoming Moto X flagship is likely to concentrate more on photography among others. However, the details about the camera were not mentioned. Motorola has not yet announced when it will launch the Moto X (Gen 4) smartphone.

The Lenovo-owned company earlier this month launched the Moto G Turbo Edition in India priced at Rs. 14,499.
