Motorola on Wednesday
said it would reveal the India pricing of the
Moto X (Gen 2) by 12 noon, and keeping to its word, the company has
announced its latest flagship smartphone will be priced at Rs. 31,999 (16GB), while the wood and leather back panel variants will be priced at Rs. 33,999.
It will available from midnight exclusively via Flipkart - no details have been provided about if the 32GB model will arrive in India.
The company had
unveiled the Moto X (Gen. 2) globally at an event in India on September 5, without revealing the price of the smartphone. It revealed the US pricing of the smartphone at $499.99 (roughly Rs. 30,200).
The Moto X (Gen 2) ships with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, and will be made available in two storage size variants - 16GB and 32GB, with no expandability via microSD card slot. It features a 5.2-inch (1080x1920 pixel) OLED display with a pixel density of 423 ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The new Moto X is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974-AC) processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM. It comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.25 lens with 4K video recording and dual-LED ring flash, as well a 2-megapixel front-facing camera capable of 1080p video recording.
Like the Moto G (Gen 2), the Moto X (Gen 2) features a single front speaker below the display. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 80211.ac, Bluetooth 4.0LE, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 140.8x72.4x9.97mm, and weighs 144 grams. It is powered by a 2300mAh battery.
