TechnoBuffalo has obtained press renders of the third-generation Moto G from an anonymous tipster. The images show the handset in White colour in full glory. The front of the Moto G (Gen 3) looks largely similar to the second-generation Moto G while one major change is apparent at the back panel.
The Moto G (Gen 3) is seen sporting a back panel with a LG-like strip near the rear camera. The vertical, silver strip at the back houses the rear camera at one end and the Motorola logo at the other. The LED flash is also seen placed on the strip. Notably, the images are largely in line with the device that was seen in the YouTube hands-on video last week. The biggest similarity is that the Moto G (Gen 3) spotted last week featured a textured panel and the new image also sports a textured panel.
Preliminary leaks have suggested that the Moto G (Gen 3) will come with a 5-inch display; a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor; 1GB of RAM, apart from 8GB of built-in storage with microSD card slot support. The smartphone is said to run Android 5.1.1 out-of-the-box. The third-generation Motorola Moto G has been rumoured to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
In other news, the Motorola 'Kinzie' smartphone that was previously tipped as likely to launch later this year has been spotted in a benchmark listing tipping new details on the specifications. According to the benchmark listing, the 'Kinzie' smartphone with model number XT1585 will feature a 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display; a 20-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording capability; a 5-megapixel front camera; octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 clocked at 1.9GHz; 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in storage. The listing tips that the handset will run Android 5.1.1 out-of-the-box. While there is speculation the Motorola 'Kinzie' may be the next Moto X smartphone, the top-end specifications put it more in line with the Motorola Droid Turbo. The most recent Moto X (Gen 3) also tipped it to sport model number XT1097.
Back in May, a report suggested that 'Kinzie' will feature a 5.43-inch QHD display and would be the company's first phone with unbreakable screen. The rumour claimed that the handset would use the full version of the plastic lens. It was also said to be available via Verizon Wireless. Looking at the top-end specifications, the smartphone is expected to be the successor to the Motorola Droid Turbo for Verizon, the smartphone that was launched as the Motorola Moto Maxx and Motorola Moto Turbo in different regions. The Lenovo-owned company may follow a similar strategy with the Kinzie, and launch it in other regions as well.
