The first generation Moto X has also received a price cut of Rs. 6,000 and is currently being sold at Rs. 17,999 on Flipkart.
Notably, the company had stopped selling the Moto G ahead of Moto (Gen 2) launch in September. Motorola's exclusive online partner, Flipkart, in August had even claimed that the 'last stock of [the] Moto G 16GB', priced at Rs. 11,999, was being sold on the e-commerce site.
Both storage variants of the dual-SIM Motorola Moto G were launched in India back in February. The 8GB variant was priced at Rs. 12,499, while the 16GB variant was priced at Rs. 13,999.
The Moto G had received several price cuts before the company stopped selling the handset in India. Back in July, the Moto G 8GB variant's price was slashed to Rs. 10,499, while the 16GB model's price was dropped to Rs. 11,999. The Flipkart listing of the first generation Moto G was spotted by MakTech Blog.
The Moto X, on the other hand, even after Moto X (Gen 2) was launched, was for a while still being sold on Flipkart at its original price. However, the company seems to have permanently reduced the price of the handset. Interestingly, both the normal and wood back variants are currently available at the same Rs. 17,999 price, down from their previous price tags of Rs. 23,999 and Rs. 25,999, respectively.
In September, Motorola launched the second generation of its popular Moto G and Moto X devices, called the Moto G (Gen 2) and Moto X (Gen 2). The Moto G (Gen 2) was priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 16GB version. On the other hand, the Moto X (Gen 2) was announced at a price of Rs. 31,999 (16GB), while the wood and leather back panel variants were launched at Rs. 33,999.
