The specifications for Lenovo's Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus smartphones seem to have been leaked online before its official launch. A Moto device with model number XT1762, assumed to be E4, has been spotted getting clearance at the US FCC website, alongside another device with model number XT1773, said to the the Moto E4 Plus.
Interestingly, as per the listing at FCC, the successor to last year's Moto E3 will feature the same battery capacity as its predecessor, i.e., 2800mAh. On the other hand, the Moto E4 Plus is seen to sport a massive 5000mAh battery.
The purported FCC listing of the Moto E4, spotted by well-known tipster Roland Quandt, suggests that the smartphone, expected to be Moto E4, will run Android 7.0 Nougat, come with LTE support, 16GB of inbuilt storage, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth v4.2. While many other details are currently not available about the device, it is expected to house a 2800mAh battery.
As for the Moto E4 Plus, the US FCC listing was once again spotted by Roland Quandt, tipping the inclusion of a 5000mAh battery and a MediaTek SoC.
We might have to wait some more before we get further information about the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus but to help readers get a better understanding of what to expect from the smarpthones, let's go over the specifications of their predecessor. The Moto E3, which was launched in July last year, sports a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6375p processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Moto E3 comes with 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card. In terms of optics, the Moto E3 features an 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The connectivity options offers by the Moto E3 include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM radio, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
