Codenamed 'Cityman' and 'Talkman', both the Lumia smartphones are said to be targeted at the premium segment. According to a report by Unleash The Phones, the Lumia 'Cityman' will feature a 5.7-inch QHD display; a Qualcomm octa-core processor; 3GB of RAM; 32GB of built-in storage with microSD card support; a 20-megapixel rear camera; a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 3300mAh battery.
The Lumia 'Talkman', on the other hand, will come with a 5.2-inch QHD display; a hexa-core Qualcomm processor; 3GB of RAM; 32GB inbuilt storage; expandable storage support via microSD card; 20-megapixel rear camera; 5-megapixel front camera, and a 3000mAh battery.
The publication also adds that Microsoft will try to keep both the smartphones slimmer than the Lumia 930. Adding further, both the Lumia handset are believed to feature a 64-bit processor while will sport a triple-LED flash with each LED dedicated for a different shade. As nothing about the two phones has yet been confirmed about the company, we recommend users take all such leaks with a pinch of salt.
The company has on multiple occasions tipped that its next flagship will only be due in the second half of this year.
A Microsoft executive last month claimed that the market won't see a Lumia flagship device launched for roughly the next two quarters. The Redmond giant is said to launch high-end mobile devices only when Windows 10 hits the market.
Last week, Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President, Operating Systems Group at Microsoft, further affirmed the news. He revealed that Microsoft was "on track" for a summer release of Windows 10; however clarified that it would initially arrive for PCs followed by other devices - smartphones, HoloLens, Xbox, and Surface devices. Unfortunately, Microsoft is yet to reveal an exact time frame for the Windows 10 PC release.
All this fits in well with reports as far back as December for a H2 2015 launch of the next Lumia flagship. Additionally, with Microsoft announcing back in February that it would be using the Snapdragon 810 in a Lumia flagship device, it may very well be the octa-core processor of the leaked Cityman smartphone. Following, the hexa-core processor on the Talkman may be the Snapdragon 808, most recently seen on the LG G4.
