The company in a tweet said, "The beast just got a company to make things more interesting. Get ready to find out soon." The tweet was accompanied by an image with two devices visible, captioned "Beast Is Not Coming Alone." The company as of now has not dropped any hint what the second device is due to launch on Thursday.
Yu on Tuesday in another teaser hinted that the Yutopia smartphone may support customisation and has tweeted with an image of Samsung's high-end Galaxy smartphone. The teaser tweet said, "If it can't customize as per your needs, it can never be truly yours."
To recall, Yu previously had planned to launch the Yutopia smartphone at an event on December 7. The company however delayed the launch and re-scheduled the event to Thursday. Yu Televentures Founder Rahul Sharma had at that time said, "Hold your excitement, as we plan to announce something special with Yutopia. The most powerful phone now launches on 17th Dec."
So far, the company has confirmed that the Yu Yutopia will include 32GB of inbuilt storage instead of 16GB, which is still the minimum inbuilt storage given by Apple in its iPhone models. The company had previously confirmed a Quad-HD display on the Yu Yutopia smartphone. If true, this would be the company's first smartphone featuring a QHD display. The company also hinted that the Yutopia would sport a metal build which would be company's first smartphone made out of metal. The company in its teasers also took dig at the OnePlus 2 smartphone, which doesn't support the Qualcomm Quick Charge feature.
