However, Flipkart.com has already listed the device and is quoting a price of Rs. 4,999. They also don't seem to have any units of Micromax Smarty A65 as it is featured as 'out of stock' on the site.
The A65 comes with an ARM Cortex A5 processor that clocks in a speed of 1GHz. The Micromax website lists 4GB RAM for this smartphone, but that looks like a mistake. It runs on the dated Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread). The internal storage available on the device is 190MB, which can be expanded to up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. It is a dual-SIM smartphone which will be available in just a black variant.
Micromax Smarty A65 comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. The phone has a 1,350 mAh battery, which the company claims to give 205 hours of standby time and 5 hours of talktime. Micromax Smarty A65 is the first Micromax smartphone to come with Spreadtrum's chipset after the company invested $10 million in Micromax last year.
Connectivity wise, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB 2.0. Apps such as Hookup, M!Zone , M!Store, Cricket Fever, Whatsapp and Facebook come pre-installed on this device.
Micromax had recently showcased their full-HD smartphone, Micromax A116 Canvas HD smartphone. It is powered by MediaTek's MT6589 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It packs in a 2100mAh battery. Micromax A116 Canvas HD comes with 5-inch HD IPS screen that supports HD resolution (1280x720) and a colour depth of 16.7 million. It is expected to be available for under Rs. 15,000 by the second week of February.
