Two new budget Micromax tablets have been listed as available at an online retailer in India, the Micromax Funbook P365 and Funbook P256, listed at Rs. 6,990 (MRP stated as Rs. 7,990) and Rs. 4,692 (MRP stated as Rs. 5,490) respectively, with a seven business day delivery time. The two devices have yet to be announced or listed by Micromax.
Micromax Funbook P365 tablet runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and features a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display with a 800x480 pixel resolution screen. The device runs on 1.2GHz Cortex-A9 processor paired with a Mali 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The camera option of Micromax Funbook P365 includes a 2-megapixel rear camera (with no flash) and a 0.3-megapixel VGA front-facing camera for video calling.
The Funbook P365 comes with 4GB of in-built storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Along with the support for 3G connectivity via dongle, the Funbook P365 also includes a standard Wi-Fi connectivity along with USB 2.0. The tablet has a battery capacity of 2800mAh, which according to retailer listing, will provide up to 4 hours of browsing time, and 60 hours of standby time.
The second tablet by the popular Indian smartphone brand, the Funbook P256, shares the same display, SoC and connectivity features as seen in the Funbook P365 tablet. The device runs on an older Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and is paired with a lesser 512MB of RAM. It features a 3-megapixel rear camera (without flash) and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset comes with a 3000mAh battery capacity, 4 hours of browsing time, and 150 hours of standby time.
The Micromax Funbook P365 and Funbook P256 have been listed on Snapdeal.
On Friday, Micromax officially launched its Micromax Advertising Application (MAd), alongside the release of its first smartphone with the app preloaded on it, the Micromax MAd A94. The MAd application will allow registered users on Micromax MAd A94 handsets to earn redeemable points by watching advertisements (once). Points will be redeemed as balance credited as rupees to postpaid and prepaid accounts across GSM telecom operators in India
