Micromax seems all set to launch the Canvas Spark 3 (Q385), with the company briefly listing the smartphone on its site on Thursday. The Canvas Spark 2 successor comes with a bigger and better display, more RAM, higher resolution camera, double the inbuilt storage, a bigger battery, and more. The company is yet to mention the price of the smartphone, though we can expect the smartphone to be officially launched soon.

The Micromax Canvas Spark 3 is a dual-SIM smartphone running Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by a quad-core processor (unspecified) clicked at 1.3GHz, clubbed with 1GB DDR3 RAM. It also houses an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera along with a 5-megapixel fixed focus front-camera.

The Canvas Spark 3, for music enthusiasts, includes 1.5CC Box 2509 speakers. On the connectivity front, the handset features regular option such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB connectivity. Backed by a 2900mAh battery, the handset houses 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). The device will also come with preloaded apps like Hike, OLX, Skype and Gaana.

The Micromax Canvas Spark 2 on the other hand was launched in September last year at Rs. 3,999. It sports a 5-inch display of FWVGA (480x854) screen resolution and is powered by a quad-core chipset clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 768MB of RAM. Other features of the handset include a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel sensor placed upfront. It comes with a 4GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

The dual-SIM capable Canvas Spark 2 supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other standard connectivity options. There's an 1800mAh battery, which the company claims can last for more than 300 hours on standby mode.
