The new Micromax Canvas Nitro A311 is now listed on the company's site without details about pricing or availability. To refresh, Micromax back in September had launched the Canvas Nitro (A310) in India, priced at Rs. 12,900, exclusively via Snapdeal. We can expect the Canvas Nitro A311 to be priced around the same price category.
Notably, the only difference between the Canvas Nitro (A310) and Canvas Nitro (A311) is that the latter includes 16GB of inbuilt storage. Other specifications of the new smartphone are identical to the original Canvas Nitro (A310).
The dual-SIM Canvas Nitro (A311) runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display with an oleophobic coating. It comes with faux-leather back panel and will be available in Mesmerising Blue and Pristine White colours.
Much like the Canvas Nitro A310 (Review | Pictures), the Canvas Nitro A311 also is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and ARM Mali 450 GPU. It features a 5-megapixel front-facing fixed focus camera, apart from a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera. The rear camera packs a Sony IMX135 CMOS sensor and f/2.2 aperture. Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. The Canvas Nitro supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). It packs a 2500mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time, and 320 hours of standby time. Smartphone features an accelerometer, ambient light, and proximity sensor.
Micromax last week launched the Canvas Express, priced at Rs. 6,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting Monday.
