Micromax Canvas Knight 2 With Dual SIM 4G, Octa-Core SoC Launched at Rs. 16,299

Micromax on Friday launched the Canvas Knight 2 smartphone in India, a 4G LTE-enabled handset priced at Rs. 16,299. It comes with a free 4G SIM from Airtel, alongside an Airtel 4G Double Data offer that "doubles the 4G data amount for any consumer activating the 4G SIM." The Canvas Knight 2 will be available to buy from Wednesday.

The highlight of the Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Micromax Canvas Knight 2 is that both Nano-SIM card slots support 4G connectivity. The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD Amoled display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core (quad-core Cortex-A53 1.5GHz + quad-core Cortex-A53 1GHz) SoC coupled with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. The Canvas Knight 2 comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, and supports storage expandability via microSD card (up to 32GB).

The Micromax Canvas Knight 2 sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor and a Largan 5P lens, apart from a 5-megapixel front-facing fixed focus camera with an Omnivision OV5648 sensor with the same lens. The firm is also touting the Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo WM8998 audio on board the smartphone, as well as the premium build featuring glass and metal materials.

The Canvas Knight 2 sports a 2260mAh battery that's rated to deliver up to 7 hours and 45 minutes of talk time, and 335 hours of standby time. It comes preloaded with CleanMaster, Apps Center, Snapdeal, SwiftKey, Chaatz, Newshunt, Quikr, and Hotstar apps.
