We saw Micromax launching its Canvas Fire 4G in September this year parallel to the Canvas Blaze 4G and Canvas Play 4G. The company after two months has revealed another variant, the Canvas Fire 4G+, by listing it on the website. The listing does give us insight on the handset specifications but fails to reveal as to when the smartphone will hit the shelves and at what price.
The new Micromax Canvas Fire 4G+ smartphone features a slightly bigger and higher-resolution 4.7-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display as compared to the 4.5-inch (480x854 pixels) display on Canvas Fire 4G. Under the hood the 'Plus' variant packs a quad-core processor (unspecified) clocked at 1GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM, the same as its predecessor. However, the handset is expected to run on a MediaTek-branded processor as the company in September announced strategic collaboration with chipmaker for the launch of Canvas Fire 4G.

The company has also bumped up the camera resolutions in the Canvas Fire 4G+ from 5-megapixel to 8-megapixel for the autofocus rear camera, and from 2-megapixel to 5-megapixel for the front-facing camera.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Canvas Fire 4G+ is expected to support both LTE bands in India (FDD-LTE 1800MHz Band 3, and TDD-LTE 2300MHz Band 40) like the Canvas Fire 4G. As per the listing it will support LTE Cat. 4 connectivity with download speed of up to 150Mbps. While the inbuilt storage limit is not mentioned, the website does say the external storage limit support of up to 32GB. Much like the Canvas Fire 3 and the Canvas Fire 4G, the Canvas Fire 4G+ also sports dual front-facing speakers. The speakers are rated to deliver crystal-clear audio and improved bass response.
