The biggest difference between the Canvas A1 AQ4501, launched in September, and Canvas A1 AQ4502 is that the latter features 8GB storage replacing the former's 4GB inbuilt storage. It also runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, while the original AQ4501 model still ships with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, though an Android 5.1 Lollipop update is available OTA.
Apart from the inbuilt storage and model number of the handset, the Micromax Canvas A1 AQ4502 features identical specifications including a 4.5-inch (480x854 pixels) IPS FWVGA display; 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor; 1GB of RAM, expandable storage support via microSD card (up to 32GB); a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash; a 2-megapixel front camera; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and a 1700mAh battery.
The Canvas A1 AQ4502 is available to buy via third-party e-commerce website eBay.in. To note, Micromax launched the original Canvas A1 AQ4501 exclusively on Amazon, at Rs. 6,499, though since, the Android One smartphones have become available on other e-commerce sites.
Micromax last month launched the Canvas Doodle 4 in India at Rs. 9,499. The successor to last year's Canvas Doodle 3, the Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone which runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 6-inch IPS display with a qHD (540x960 pixels) resolution.
It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MTK6582M) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 2-megapixel fixed-focus front camera also on board. The smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery and measures 165.5x85.3x8.5mm. It also includes ambient light, gravity, and proximity sensors.
