The Micromax Bolt A66 runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The new budget Android smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device, and supports regular SIM size. It comes with 4.5-inch TFT display with 480x854 pixels (FWVGA) resolution, and is powered by a 1GHz Spreadtrum SC7710G processor along with 512MB of RAM.
It includes 512MB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32GB with microSD card. The Micromax Bolt A66 sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash, though there is no word on the front camera. The device packs a 1500mAh battery, which according to the listing can give a standby time of up to 116 hours, and talktime of up to 4.5 hours.
Connectivity options on the Bolt A66 include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS, EDGE and 3G. The smartphone also comes preloaded with apps such as Hike, Opera, Spuul, Game HUB, Kingsoft Office and M! Live.
Micromax is also expected to rollout Android 4.4 KitKat update the Canvas series smartphones. An earlier report has revealed the domestic handset maker is working on Android 4.4 KitKat updates for the following smartphones: Micromax A110 Canvas 2, Micromax A110Q Canvas 2 Plus, Micromax A111 Canvas Doodle, Micromax A116 Canvas HD, Micromax A117 Canvas Magnus, Micromax A116i Canvas HD, Micromax A210 Canvas 4, Micromax A114 Canvas 2.2, Micromax A240 Canvas Doodle 2 and Micromax A250 Canvas Turbo.
