The domestic handset maker is yet to announce the pricing or availability of the Micromax Bolt A089; though it is available via few e-commerce websites priced in the range of Rs. 3,973 and Rs. 4489.
Notably, looking at the Bolt A089 smartphone listings at Flipkart and Snapdeal, it appears that the smartphone has been available via third party retailers for quite some time. However, the company has only listed the smartphone now.
The Micromax Bolt A089 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device which runs the dated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It features a 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA display.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Micromax Bolt A089 sports a 2-megapixel rear fixed-focus camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.
On the connectivity front, the Bolt A089 offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 2100mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 190 hours of standby time. It measures 143x71x7.9mm and is listed in Black colour.
The Micromax Bolt A089 comes preinstalled with Spuul, Hike, Mi Live, Kingsoft, Opera Mini, and Games (Bubble x Slice, Dancing Bubbles, and Zombie Smasher).
Earlier this month, another Micromax Bolt-series smartphone, the Bolt A064, after being officially listed on the company's site, went up for sale via a couple of e-commerce sites priced at Rs. 3,301.
