According to Chinese blog Mydrivers, an insider of the mobile phone industry has revealed that MediaTek is developing mobile processors with more than 8 cores - could be 10 or even 12 cores, and if everything works out well, then the new multi-core processor will be up for release in 2015.

To remind you, MediaTek had released the 64-bit architecture processors last year, which includes the octa-core MT6795, MT6752, and MT6732. The MediaTek MT6795 operates on frequency of 2.2GHz, and has been reported that the SoC will debut with HTC's upcoming flagship One (M9) aka HTC Hima.
The MediaTek MT6795 SoC features the company's new CorePilot technology, which provides multi-processor performance and thermal control, as well as offers dual-channel LPDDR3 clocked at 933MHz in a smartphone.
