Reliance Retail's Lyf brand has introduced the new Flame 6 smartphone which is now listed on the company site. Priced at Rs. 3,999, the smartphone will be available via offline stores such as Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress in its Black colour variant. The Lyf Flame 6 launch comes merely a week after the launches of the Flame 3 and Flame 4 smartphones.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Lyf Flame 6 supports two SIM cards (regular SIM and Micro-SIM), and while both slots are 4G enabled, only one card slot supports 4G at a time, with the second slot only supporting 2G. The Lyf Flame 6 bears a 4-inch (480x800 pixels) display with a pixel density of 218ppi and Asahi Dragontrail Glass. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core SoC coupled with a Mali 400 MP2 GPU, and 512MB of RAM. The smartphone bears 2-megapixel rear camera, and a front camera with the same resolution. There is an LED flash at the back panel. It bears 4GB of built-in storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, and Micro-USB. The biggest highlight of the Flame 6 smartphone is it supports VoLTE (voice over LTE) with HD voice call compatibility. It supports both 4G LTE bands in India - FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) and TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz).
It is powered by a 1750mAh battery that's rated to deliver up to 4.5 hours of talk time, and 175 hours of standby time. It measures 126x64x10.6mm, and weighs in at 162 grams.
