Sharing the teaser image on Facebook, an LG device with rear power and volume rocker buttons was seen, sporting a metallic body and a straight-edged look. The tagline in the image said, "Something New." By looking at the image, the new LG device seems to be a mid-range handset featuring a different design compared to the flagships LG G3 or even LG G4.
Steve Hemmerstoffer of Nowhereelse.fr claims that the upcoming 'Something New' devices is a mid-range phablet called the LG Class.
In the meanwhile an LG device codenamed H740, rumoured to be the Class mid-range smartphone, has been spotted in a GFXBench benchmark listing.
According to the GFXBench listing, the LG H740 aka Class smartphone will feature a 5.7-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display; a 12 or 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and full-HD video recording support; a 5-megapixel front camera; 2GB of RAM; 8GB of storage; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth; NFC; GPS, and will runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
It is further said to be powered by a Snapdragon 615processor clocked at 1.5GHz and come with accelerometer, compass, and pedometer sensors.
Apart from the September 21 event, LG has also confirmed an event on October 1 in New York where the company is likely to launch the much-rumoured V10 smartphone. Based on preliminary leaks, the LG V10 is said to feature an 'auxiliary ticker display' like the Samsung Continuum smartphone, which was launched back in 2010.
