LG recently teased us with an image on its Facebook page along with the tagline "
New series will be unveiled", which was followed by an "
unlimited possibilities" video.
Now folks over at
TuttoAndroid, an Italian blog, have managed to grab hold of the specs on three smartphones from the Korean manufacturer's budget L-Series, which are likely to be the Optimus L3 II (LG E430), L5 II (LG-E455) and L7 II (LG-P715).
The blog mentions that the L3 II will feature an upgraded 5-megapixel camera, though the device will come with the same 3.2-inch display (320 x 240 resolution) as seen on the Optimus L3. Other specs include A-GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The L5 II is expected to feature a higher screen resolution and a faster processor. The specs indicate a 4-inch (800 x 480 resolution) a, 1GHz single-core Cortex A9 processor, PowerVR SGX531 GPU and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The device could be launched in a dual-SIM variant as well.
Lastly, leaked specs for the the L7 II indicate a 4.3-inch IPS display (800 x 480 resolution), 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor with 768MB RAM, Adreno 203 GPU, an 8-megapixel camera, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and a huge 2,460mAH battery.
There is no word whatsoever on availability and pricing of these devices. LG had announced smartphones in the Optimus L-Series at MWC last year and this year, the sequels to the Optimus L3, L5 and L7 smartphones are expected to debut at the Mobile World Congress.
LG's fourth quarter earnings report hinted at a new F-Series that is likely to join the Korean manufacturer's current L-Series and its Optimus G flagship smartphones.
There have been rumours doing the rounds indicative of LG likely to introduce the
Optimus L7 II Dual this month. It is expected to launch in Russia sometime this month for 12,990 rubles, which translates to roughly $433. As the name suggests, it will be a dual-SIM smartphone, available in black and white colour options. The LG Optimus L7 II Dual will also have a 'hot key', which will make it easier for the consumer to switch between the SIMs.
Other rumoured specs include a 4.3-inch IPS-display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, Android 4.1 and a 2,460 mAh battery.
The video recently teased by LG carried a descriptor saying, "Are you ready for the next breakthrough from LG? Join us and see LG Mobile's unlimited possibilities at the MWC 2013."
Last year, LG made a big splash at MWC with multiple devices including the
LG Optimus L3,
L5,
L7 devices, the Optimus 4X HD (
