LG Optimus G2 has been in the news for quite some time now. The latest leak for this smartphone comes from a listing on GLBenchmark. As per this listing, LG Optimus G2 bears the model number LG D801. It will allegedly be powered by 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor, Adreno 330 GPU along with 2GB of RAM.

The results also show that LG Optimus G2 score is far higher than that of HTC One, HTC 6435LVW (aka HTC Droid DNA) and its predecessor, LG Optimus G.

Much like the other flagship smartphones available in the market, LG Optimus G2 too is expected to sport a full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display. However, the screen size has not been mentioned in GLBenchmark listing. As per this new leak LG Optimus G2 will offer Android 4.2.2 out of the box. This bit of information is contradictory to the previous leaks that suggested LG Optimus G2 will run on Android Key Lime Pie.

For camera, LG Optimus will allegedly come with a 13-megapixel shooter and also a front camera of unknown resolution. The report also indicates that this smartphone will be available in US through T-Mobile.

As per earlier rumours, LG Optimus G2 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch full-HD display and a quad-core 2.0/2.5GHz Krait processor. The grapevine is also suggesting that this smartphone will be launched at IFA in August. However, given that this smartphone is already making an appearance in benchmark results, we might see LG Optimus G2 in the next couple of months.

LG had launched its Optimus G in India in February for Rs. 34,500. LG Optimus G (Review | Pictures) is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor alongside 2GB of RAM. It includes a 4.7-inch 768x1280 (320ppi) display and sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front shooter. LG Optimus G comes with 32GB of built-in flash storage, but no microSD card slot or expandable storage of any kind. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and NFC. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box.
