LG has put out a new teaser for the successor of the LG G3, the LG G4, which is set to launch at the firm's April 28 event. The 40-second video concentrates on the rear camera of the smartphone.
The YouTube video shows the LG G4 features an f/1.8 lens. As compared, the current LG G3 features f/2.4 lens. While there is nothing else mentioned about the smartphone or its camera, the f/1.8 sensor on G4's rear camera hints at a better photo capturing function in low-light conditions. Time lapse is also another camera feature hinted by the teaser video. The rest of the video confirms nothing but LG's April 28 event for G4 launch.
This is the third video by LG teasing its upcoming G4 smartphone. The smartphone maker has previously released two videos based on LG G4's LG UX 4.0. LG has added an Expert Mode in the camera interface that the company claims can deliver DSLR-level professional quality for images. Also the Gallery app in UX 4.0 can now understand when and where the images have been taken and can automatically combine them into an album.
The firm while unveiling LG UX 4.0 also noted that the G4 will be the first smartphone to come equipped with the new custom UI, and that the company will release it to more of its smartphones in the future.
Notably, LG has already revealed that its new LCD panel will be used in the G4. LG Display's statement also adds that mass production of the new 5.5-inch QHD IPS display with a 535ppi pixel density has begun.
