Now when we are just a week away from LG launching its much-awaited and much-leaked LG G3 smartphone, we get a hint of what the dimensions of the smartphone would be.
Spigen, a popular cover-case maker, has listed the cover cases and screen protectors for the LG G3 on its website along with the case dimensions, from which one can infer the handset's dimensions.
Removing the approximate thickness of the Spigen's Slim Armour case for LG G3, one would get a rough dimension of 141.8x73x9.3mm. This means the LG G3 chassis dimensions are quite close to that of Samsung Galaxy S5's (142x72.5x8.1mm), however sporting a larger display with a difference of roughly 0.4-inch.
The firm has already confirmed the inclusion of a 5.5-inch screen with QHD (1440x2560 pixel) resolution in the upcoming LG G3 smartphone.
The yet-to-be-launched LG G3 is however said to arrive in two variants; one with 16GB of inbuilt storage and 2GB of RAM, and the second with 32GB inbuilt storage and 3GB of RAM. Both variants will reportedly support storage expandability with microSD card support.
The LG G3 is also said to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with the new Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS+). Beside the rear mounted speaker offering 1W output, the handset is reportedly backed by a 3000mAh battery capacity.
The LG G3 is expected to be launched on May 27, as the firm has confirmed its Q2 launch plans for the smartphone, and sent out invitations for an event scheduled to take place in three cities on May 27 - London, New York, and San Francisco; followed by a May 28 launch event in Singapore, Istanbul, and Seoul.
