Looks like LG is not yet done teasing its LG G3 smartphone that is scheduled to launch on May 27. The Korean tech firm right before the launch of the G3 has unveiled four teaser videos showing different features of the handset. A comparison page for the LG G3 was also found on the company's UK site with some specifications, and finally, alleged LG G3 retail dummy images are doing the rounds of the Internet.
A trio of LG G3 teaser videos, all in Korean and with duration of 15 seconds, were showcased on LG's dedicated G3 launch event page, which also features a quiz contest of some sort. The smartphone's metallic design, camera feature and the display quality were showcased in the teasers.
The first video, dealing with G3's camera, seems to confirm optical image stabilisation, the recently rumoured laser autofocus system, and low-light prowess. From previous leaks, a 13-megapixel rear sensor is expected.
The second video flaunts the LG G3's brushed silver metal design that the firm had previously teased on video earlier this month.
The third video needs no explanation as it clearly shows the inclusion of a QHD (1440x2560 pixels) resolution display. To recall, the 5.5-inch QHD display was also confirmed by LG last month.
LG also showed-off its ultra-thin bezels and the 'grip-ability' of the LG G3 in a separately released video. The video, titled as "LG G3: The best 'grip-ability'", compared a regular 5- and 5.2-inch smartphone's screen bezels to that of G3's. The firm claims to change the whole idea of holding a bulky and broad smartphone with 5.5-inch screen.
LG's UK website has additionally listed a pdf file with a partial list of LG G3 specifications. Interestingly, the pdf states the handset supports external storage via microSD capacity up to a massive 2TB. Of course, while this may be a typographical error, as till date, a 2TB microSD card has not been manufactured, LG could simply be listing the upper limit of the microSDXC standard that is in all probability supported by the smartphone. The SD Association lists the upper storage limit of SDXC/microSDXC at 2TB.
Other specifications on the list include Android 4.4 KitKat; quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 2.46GHz, 5.5-inch QHD screen; 13-megapixel rear camera; 16GB inbuilt storage, and 3000mAh battery capacity. The connectivity options include USB 2.0; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac; Bluetooth 4.0; NFC; A-GPS, and Glonass.
The LG G3, based on the pdf file and previous leaks, is expected to arrive in two variants. While the cheaper version would flaunt a plastic build with 2GB of RAM, the premium build might boast the metal design and 3GB of RAM.
In line with our previous G3 image leaks, we have four new alleged LG G3 dummy model images courtesy GSMArena showcasing its headphone jack, rear panel buttons along with the camera, the microphone and the front panel, apart from the circular lock screen UI meant to go along with the QuickCircle cases recently announced for the LG G3.
The images reconfirm the G3's redesigned back buttons and ultra-thin bezels as compared to the LG G2 (Review). While the USB port, 3.5mm audio jack and a microphone are placed at the bottom, the top side is seen with another microphone and what looks like a stylus on the side. The LG G3 stylus has been also seen before in a leak earlier this month.
While most of the recent LG G3 leaks seem to match all teasers from LG so far, we won't have to wait long to find out the real deal as the smartphone's launch is just a day away.
