LG on Friday has announced the L Fino and L Bello smartphones, which were unveiled recently and targeted at emerging 3G markets, will soon start rolling out globally.

The South Korean consumer electronics giant has announced that the L Fino and L Bello will be available in Brazil starting this week, followed by other countries - Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) - in the coming weeks. The company giant has not revealed the prices of the handsets and additional availability details, saying that it will be announced locally at the time of launch.

In related news, the LG G2 Lite has been listed by a number of Brazilian online retailers. First spotted by Phone Arena, the yet-to-be-announced G2 Lite notably comes with identical specifications as the LG L Fino; tipping that the company might rebrand the handset as G2 Lite for the Brazilian markets. The online retailers in Brazil have listed the G2 Lite with a pricing of BRL 615 (roughly Rs. 16,000).

However, no official announcement regarding the G2 Lite has yet been made by the company.

In terms of specifications, the LG L Fino (and LG G2 Lite) comes with a 4.5-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) IPS display offering a pixel density of 207ppi; a 1.2GHz quad-core processor; 1GB of RAM; 4GB of inbuilt storage; an 8-megapixel rear camera; a 0.3-megapixel front camera; a 1900mAh battery, and 3G support. The LG L Fino measures 127.5x67.9x11.9mm and will come in White, Black, Gold, Red, Green colour variants with availability that will vary by market.

The LG L Bello on the other hand features a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) IPS display offering a pixel density of 196ppi; a 1.3GHz quad-core processor; 1GB of RAM; 8GB of inbuilt storage; an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera; a 1-megapixel front-facing camera; a 2540mAh battery, and 3G support. The LG L Bello comes with dimensions 138.2x70.6x10.7mm and will be available in White, Black, and Gold colours.

Initially announced ahead of IFA, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based LG L Fino and L Bello come with UX derived from the LG G3.

Some of the highlights of the G3-derived UX skin include Touch and Shoot feature that clicks images by tapping anywhere on the display to focus and shoot in one single step; Gesture Shot in the camera allows users to open and close a hand in front of the lens to start a three-second countdown for the shutter, and Front Camera Light, which helps clicking images in self-portrait mode.

Other features include Knock Code, which was first introduced on the LG G2 that allows users to unlock the phone by tapping a personalised 'knock' pattern on the display. The new LG L Fino and LG L Bello also support the new QuickCircle cases that were launched alongside the flagship G3 (Review | Pictures).
