Korean manufacturer LG has announced that it will be bringing the QuickMemo feature to all the smartphones in Optimus L-series. The feature will be rolled-out as a part of a software update, which is currently available in few regions, but will be available globally by the end of third quarter.

LG QuickMemo allows users to take the screenshot of any content on the smartphone and then write, draw on that content using their fingers. Similar to the functionality used by Samsung in Galaxy Note with S-Pen, it is a quite useful feature.

QuickMemo notes can also be shared using text messages, chat or email. The feature can be used by simply tapping the volume keys or via the notification bar on the smartphone.

"The QuickMemo is one of the representing features for LG's UX (user experience) to enhance the quality of communication by sharing ideas with more personalization." said Paul Bae of LG.

The Optimus L-Series of smartphones includes the Optimus L7, L5, and L3.
