Chinese smartphone-maker Lephone on Monday launched its W7 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 4,599 (MOP), the Lephone W7 smartphone supports 22 regional languages and 4G VoLTE connectivity.
Speaking on the occasion Vinod Pandit, Business Head, Lephone Technology Pvt ltd, remarked, "Lephone is leveraging a platform with an affordable yet power packed device, as it offers the flexibility to address users' increasingly varied demands. With the launch of Lephone W7 we intend getting premium devices into the hands of consumers at affordable rates while ensuring consumers benefit from all the latest specifications."
The dual-SIM Lephone W7 runs 360 custom ROM based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, including such features as Dual Account support, 360 Security, and more. It sports a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) 2.5D Curved Glass display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (make unspecified) coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Lephone W7 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM radio. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
Supported languages include Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
