Lenovo Vibe X2 'Sold Out'; Fresh Stock Expected Thursday on Flipkart

Lenovo Vibe X2, which went on sale on Monday exclusively via Flipkart, has now been sold out. Lenovo said on Wednesday that 10,000 units had been sold by Tuesday. The company added that the smartphone will be back in stock by 10am IST on Thursday.

"The kind of response Vibe X2 has been getting in India is overwhelming. The X2 layered design is a unique proposition from Lenovo and we are happy that consumers are appreciating the innovations that we are bringing to the Indian smartphone market" said, Sudhin Mathur, Director, Smartphones, Lenovo India.

"The Vibe X2 has seen a tremendous response on Flipkart. This showcases not only our capabilities as an e-commerce partner but also the ability to attract a world-class brand to sell a flagship product exclusively on Flipkart," said Michael Adnani, Vice President, Retail and Head, Flipkart.

Priced at Rs. 19,999, Lenovo had on Monday included some launch days offers for the Vibe X2. The company had offered a 95 percent discount on a Vibe Xtensions accessory, called the Vibe X2 Battery; a 35 percent discount when shopping via the Myntra Android app (using the LENOVO35 coupon code), apart from preselected Flipkart ebooks worth Rs. 1,200 for free. Additionally, HDFC/ ICICI credit card consumers could get 6 months of EMI interest charges refunded as cashback, if purchased on a 6-month EMI plan.

Notably, Lenovo has brought the dual-SIM version of the Vibe X2 to India, featuring a Micro-SIM and a Nano-SIM card slot. The smartphone features a 5-inch (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with Vibe UI 2.0. The Lenovo Vibe X2 is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6595m processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM, and includes 32GB of inbuilt storage.

Other specifications of the Vibe X2 include a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 2300mAh battery.
