Lenovo India has announced the first open sale for its K3 Note smartphone via Flipkart on Monday. The smartphone will be available in Black and White colours at the 'Independence Day special open sale,' as the company calls it. The company via its Twitter account mentions that the open sale will continue till Tuesday as well.

Unfortunately, no details about when the open sale for the Lenovo K3 Note will kick off on Monday have been revealed. The company on Wednesday in a statement announced that the Lenovo K3 Note received impressive response from the consumers as the company claimed that it got over 2 million registrations in the first five weeks since launch, and that it has sold over 200,000 units till date.

An open sale for the K3 Note (Review) smartphone means that consumers will not be required to register to purchase the handset during the sale. The company, at the time of writing, had not yet revealed the number of units that will be up for sale on Monday and Tuesday.

Launched in India in late-June, the Lenovo K3 Note was first unveiled for China in March. Priced at Rs. 9,999, it supports both LTE bands in India (FDD-LTE 1800MHz Band 3, and TDD-LTE 2300MHz Band 40). The smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop that's skinned with the Vibe UI. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with a pixel density of 401ppi.

The dual-SIM smartphone is powered by a 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The K3 Note packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Inbuilt storage on the handset is 16GB, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G (TD-LTE/ LTE), Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. The K3 Note measures 152.6x76.2x7.99mm and weighs 150 grams.

The large-screen Lenovo K3 Note packs a 2900mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 39 hours of talk time on 2G and 16 hours on 3G, apart from 11 days of standby time.
