There is no official word on the availability of the Lava Iris Selfie 50; however, we expect the company will announce the availability of the smartphone in the coming days. The highlight feature of the Iris Selfie 50 handset is the 5-megapixel front-facing autofocus camera that comes accompanied by an LED flash.
The Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based Iris Selfie 50 comes with dual-SIM support, featuring one regular SIM slot and the other Micro-SIM. It sports a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD IPS display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Apart from the 5-megapixel front camera, the Iris Selfie 50 also packs an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with BSI II sensor and dual-LED flash. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options.
The Lava Iris Selfie 50 packs a 2400mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time on 3G networks. It measures 144.5x71.2x9.2mm and is listed in White colour.
Earlier this month, Lava launched the budget smartphone, the Iris 500, listing it on its site at Rs. 5,499. The company is yet to announce official availability however.
