Lava has launched a new Iris-series smartphone, the Iris Alfa, priced at Rs. 6,550. The new Lava Iris Alfa smartphone will be available starting Monday from retail physical stores, while it will be also available via
eBay India.
The Iris Alfa comes bundled with Truecaller premium app and includes Rs. 2,000 worth of free downloads on Hungama Music app. The smartphone also comes preloaded with Adaptxt keyboard app that supports 11 Indian local languages.
The Android 4.4 KitKat-based Iris Alfa supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) support. The company has announced that the smartphone supports FOTA (firmware over the air) updates. It features a 5-inch (480x854 pixels) IPS full lamination display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor that's coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Lava Iris Alfa bears 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera LED flash, while it also packs a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
Connectivity options on the Lava Iris Alfa include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. It is powered by a 2200mAh battery and will be available in Black and White.
