While the Lava Iris 444 is already available through online retailer for Rs. 3,199, the Lava NKS 101 tablet has been listed on company's site without any pricing or availability details.
The Lava Iris 444 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone which runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It features a 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA TFT display, and is powered by a 1GHz single-core Cortex -A7 processor coupled with 256MB of RAM.
The Iris 444 comes with 512MB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.
On the connectivity front, the Lava Iris 444 includes GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 1400mAh battery, which according to the listing is rated to deliver up to 12 hours of talk time on 2G networks. The handset measures 123x63.2x11mm, and weighs 116 grams. The smartphone is available through Flipkart in a dual-tone Black and Blue colour option.
Coming to Lava's new tablet, the Lava NKS 101. Running on the dated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it features a 10.1-inch HD (1280x800 pixels) LCD multi-touch display, and is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core (unknown chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Lava NKS 101 is listed to come in 16GB or 32GB of inbuilt storage variants, but there is no word on its further expandability via microSD card. It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Connectivity options on the Lava NKS 101 include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Bluetooth, and OTG. The battery on the tablet sports a massive 7600mAh capacity.
