Lava, an Indian mobile brand, will soon expand its Iris brand of devices by introducing its Lava Iris 408e, as the handset has been listed on an online retail website for Rs. 3,829.
The Lava Iris 408e is listed as available on the online retail site, and has not yet been announced by the company, or listed on its own website. As per the online retail listing, the Iris 408e runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and additionally comes with dual-SIM standby support.
The Lava Iris 408e features a 4-inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen with a WVGA (480x800 pixel) resolution and 16M display colours. The Iris 408e is powered by a single-core (unspecified) processor clocked at 1GHz along with a mere 256MB of RAM.

Lava Iris 408e, although having a low 512MB of in-built storage, can support up to 32GB of external storage. The handset, since being a low-end smartphone, misses out on 3G connectivity along with Wi-Fi also. However, Bluetooth, USB and GPRS features are included in the connectivity options.
The Lave Iris 408e is backed-up by a 1500mAh Li-Po battery that can offer up to 5 hours of talk time and around 8 days of standby life. The smartphone measures 125 x 64.8 x 10.35 mm and is available in Black and Silver colours.
The handset comes pre-installed with some Google apps like Gmail, Gtalk, Google Play and others. Since the Iris 408e has not been listed on the official website, the above hardware and software specifications might be slightly different when official listed.
