Lava has launched a new smartphone in India, the Lava A59, priced at Rs. 4,199. The smartphone is listed on the company website with price, but no details about availability. Alongside, Lava has also listed another new smartphone, the Lava A48, however no pricing or availability details were provided.
The dual-SIM Lava A59 bears a 4.5-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) display, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, the smartphone bears 512MB of RAM. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash, and a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front-facing camera with flash.
The Lava A59 bears 4GB of built-in storage that's expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Connectivity options on the smartphone include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1, a 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio, but no GPS. It is powered by a 1750mAh battery that's rated to deliver up to 19 hours of audio playback on speaker. It weighs in at 140 grams, and measures in at 133x66x9.3mm.
The dual-SIM Lava A48 on the other hand features a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) display, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 512MB of RAM. It bears a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash, and a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front camera. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage that's expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
