Karbonn seems set to launch another budget Android smartphone in India, the A99i, which has been listed as available at various online retail sites in India for Rs. 4,880 (along with an MRP of Rs. 6,999). There has been no official announcement of the smartphone from
Karbonn yet.
According to the online retailer listing, the
Karbonn A99i is a dual-SIM (GSM-GSM) smartphone that runs on the now-dated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Notably, the smartphone features 3G connectivity, which at this price is a definite selling point for it.
Featuring a 4-inch (3.97) display with unspecified resolution, the Karbonn A99i runs on a 1.3GHz dual-core processor (unspecified chipset) that is coupled with 512MB of RAM.
Other specifications of the Karbonn A99i according to its Flipkart listing (
Black and
White) variants) include 4GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The A99i sports a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with flash, and an unspecified (probably VGA) front-facing camera.
Connectivity options on the Karbonn A99i include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (with hotspot functionality), Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. It is powered by a 1200mAh battery. The listing was first
spotted by AndroidOS.
Earlier on Monday, another Karbonn smartphone
was listed at an online retailer, the Karbonn Titanium S9 Lite, which is the lite-version of its flagship smartphone. The Titanium S9 Lite features an MOP of Rs. 8,990, and an MRP of Rs. 9,990.
The Karbonn Titanium S9 Lite features dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) support and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
