Josh Mobiles, an Indian mobile handset maker has launched a new Android smartphone, Fortune HD at a price of Rs. 11,999.
The phone features a 5.3-inch screen with a resolution of 540x960 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and has 1GB of RAM.
The Fortune HD sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 3-megapixel front facing camera. The phone runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich which is not the latest version of the operating system.
The phone offers 2GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 32 GB. It comes with a 2400 mAh battery. The Fortune HD offers dual-SIM functionality.
Commenting on the launch of its latest, Fortune HD, Deepak Gupta, Director, Josh Mobiles said, "Fortune HD is packed with exciting features and its high definition screen shall take you to the next level of viewing experience. The latest addition in the Fortune series on our 3rd anniversary strengths us further in the smartphone category"
With rivals such as Micromax, Zen, Karbonn and Xolo offering 5-inch screen phones and even phones that are powered by quad-core processors, we're not sure if this phone will find many takers. Also, the phone comes with the dated Android 4.0 operating system at a time when other Indian brands are releasing phones that run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
