Jivi Mobiles, the company known for its claim of launching the cheapest Android smartphone in India at Rs. 1,999 last year, on Monday launched three new budget smartphones, namely JSP 27, JSP 47 and JSP 38.
While the three smartphones are listed on the company website, only the Jivi JSP 29 is currently available to purchase on e-commerce websites. The other two handsets, Jivi JSP 38 and Jivi JSP 47, are likely to hit the shelves soon. The JSP 29, JSP 38 and JSP 47 are priced at Rs. 2,999, Rs. 3,299 and Rs. 4,199 respectively.
All three dual-SIM smartphones run on the Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and feature 3G connectivity. The Wi-Fi hotspot feature is also available with the handsets. Besides supporting expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB), the three handsets will be available in Black and White colour variants.
The Jivi JSP 47 (seen above) features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) resolution IPS display and is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor (unspecified) coupled with 512MB of RAM. A 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA resolution (0.3-megapixel) front-facing camera are housed inside the handset. Besides 4GB of inbuilt storage, the handset is backed by a 1650mAh battery and measures 117.6x62.7x9.3mm.
The Jivi JSP 38 (seen above) features a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) resolution display and is powered by a single-core 1GHz processor (unspecified) coupled with 256MB of RAM. A 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA resolution (0.3-megapixel) front-facing camera are housed inside the handset. Featuring 512MB of inbuilt storage, the handset is powered by a 1500mAh battery and measures 123.7x63.9x10.3mm.
Lastly, the Jivi JSP 29 (seen above) features a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480 pixels) resolution display and is powered by a single-core 1GHz processor (unspecified) coupled with 256MB of RAM. A 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA resolution (0.3-megapixel) front-facing camera are housed inside the handset. Apart from 512MB of inbuilt storage, the handset features a 1450mAh battery and measures 109.6x59.6x10.5mm.
