Apple's new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available starting next week in India, as already confirmed by the company. Now, the prices have been officially announced, and they are in line with earlier reports.
Gadgets 360 had confirmed pricing details of both the new iPhones. The iPhone 6s will start at Rs. 62,000 for the 16GB variant. The iPhone 6s Plus will start at Rs. 72,000 for the same storage capacity. The 64GB and 128GB variant of the iPhone 6s will be priced at Rs. 72,000 and Rs. 82,000 respectively, while the iPhone 6s Plus will cost Rs. 82,000 and Rs. 92,000 for the same storage capacities.
Starting Thursday, interested consumers can start pre-booking the new iPhone models from several websites including Gadgets 360, Amazon, Snapdeal, Flipkart, Infibeam, and Paytm, as well as mobile operator Vodafone.
Paytm kicked off pre-orders for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus on Thursday. The mobile payment and commerce platform offered pre-orders on a flash sale model where consumers can book a new iPhone between 12-6pm IST with limited units up for pre-booking. Consumers can pay Rs. 2,000 upfront for pre-orders via Paytm. It promises customers who pre-book the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus on Paytm till October 13 will receive an email or message on October 14 with a link to make the remaining payment and complete the booking. The customers, who complete the full payment, will then receive the store location to pick the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus unit on the launch day (October 16).
Snapdeal, on the other hand, will start taking pre-bookings for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus starting Friday. Customers can pre-book the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus following which a link to purchase will be sent to their pre-booking ID on October 14.
Snapdeal claims that consumers who complete the pre-booking by October 15 4pm IST will receive the new iPhone on launch day. Snapdeal is offering the iPhone pre-booking option in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
Other retailers who are now accepting pre-orders include Amazon where consumers can receive exclusive offers from Vodafone. With iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus pre-orders via Amazon or even Vodafone, consumers will get free data and talk benefits from Vodafone including 4,000 local and STD minutes; free 3GB 3G data, and 1,500 SMS per month for the first six months. Flipkart is also taking pre-orders for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Consumers pre-booking a new iPhone from Infibeam for Rs. 1,000 are also being assured of receiving the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus on launch day. The online retailer however is offering the pre-orders in limited markets including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, and Pune.
