The Indian handset maker, Intex seems to be on a launching spree. The company had recently launched a quad-core smartphone, Aqua Wonder Quadcore in the sub-Rs. 10,000 range and it now seems to be gearing to launch two new smartphones.

Dubbed as Intex Aqua Marvel+ and Aqua Swadesh, these smartphones are sub-Rs.5,000, which run on Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). Both these smartphones are now listed on the company's website.

Intex Aqua Marvel+ is the successor of Intex Aqua Marvel. The Intex Aqua Marvel+ packs in a 1GHz MediaTek processor with 256MB of RAM. The smartphone has a 95MB of in-built storage. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that supports GSM frequency on both the SIMs.

For camera, there is a 5-megapixel rear camera on board. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB ports. Measuring 116 x 61 x 11.9, the smartphone comes with a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen and a 1400mAh battery. The Intex Aqua Marvel+ is priced at Rs. 3,990 and the company is also throwing in a screen guard for free with this smartphone. This smartphone will be available in Grey, White and Yellow colour options.

Intex Aqua Swadesh on the other hand has a smaller 3.2-inch display. This smartphone too comes with a 1GHz processor with 256MB of RAM. It comes with 76MB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB through microSD card. It has a 2-megapixel rear shooter and a 1200mAh battery, which as per company claims delivers 3 hours of talktime and 120 hours of standby time. This smartphone is available for Rs. 3,790.

Recently, two other smartphones from Intex - Aqua Glow and the Aqua Active had been listed on their website. However, at that time the prices for these smartphones had not been revealed.

The Intex Aqua Glow is priced at Rs. 4,990. It sports a 4-inch 320x480 resolution capacitive display and is powered by a 1GHz Spreadtrum SC6820 processor alongside 256MB of RAM. The phone comes with 82MB of internal storage, which is expandable by another 32GB via microSD card. The phone runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and sports a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, alongside a 3.2-megapixel rear camera. The phone comes with a 1,500mAh battery.

Aqua Active on the other hand carries a retail tag of Rs. 3,790. This smartphone packs in a 3.5-inch 320x480 resolution capacitive display and is powered by a 1GHz Spreadtrum SC6820 processor alongside 256MB of RAM. The phone comes with 157MB of internal storage, which is expandable by another 32GB via microSD card. The phone runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and sports a 3-megapixel rear camera. The phone comes with a 2,100mAh battery.
