After the Aqua i5 HD and Aqua i5 Mini, Intex has launched the Aqua i5 Octa smartphone in India at Rs. 7,499. The handset will be exclusively available via Amazon India.

The main feature of the Intex Aqua i5 Octa is its chipset, which is an octa-core 1.4GHz MediaTek processor. The Intex Aqua i5 Octa is the company's second smartphone with an octa-core processor to be launched in this month, the first one being the Aqua Power.

The Intex Aqua i5 Octa will be available in Black, Blue, and White colour variants. It is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device which runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) resolution IPS display. The smartphone is powered by 1GB of RAM.

The Aqua i5 Octa features 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.

On the connectivity front, the Aqua i5 Octa offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery.

Intex on Tuesday launched the Aqua Power smartphone in India at Rs. 8,444. The highlight of the Intex Aqua Power is its large 4000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 11 hours of talk time and up to 500 hours of standby time. The smartphone features almost the same specs as Aqua i5 Octa except the rear and front-facing camera and screen resolution.
