Even though most smartphone manufacturers are currently focused on creating 4G devices, Intex still seems to believe that there are takers for 3G smartphones, at least in the sub-Rs. 2,500 segement. The company has launched the Intex Aqua Eco 3G at Rs. 2,400.
The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and sports a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MTK 6572AX SoC coupled with 256MB of RAM. The Intex Aqua Eco 3G comes with an inbuilt storage of 512MB, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
In terms of optics, the smartphone comes with a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) camera at front as well as back. The rear camera on Aqua Eco 3G has been tagged with a dual-LED flash while the front camera is tagged with a single LED flash.
It measures 124.3x63.3x11.2mm and weighs 118 grams. The Aqua Eco 3G packs a 1400mAh battery, and as per the company it can deliver up to 5 hours of talk time and around 220 hours of standby tune. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone provides options like 3G connectivity, WLAN 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, FM Radio, USB, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Intex Aqua Eco 3G is available in Blue, Back, and White colours.
The company launched its smartphone Intex Aqua Strong 5.2 with 4G VoLTE support last week at Rs. 6,390. It sports a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display and is powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor coupled with ARM Mali-T720 MP1 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
