Intex has unveiled a new entry-level Aqua-series smartphone, the Aqua Classic, priced at Rs. 4,444. The handset is now listed on the company site and can be expected to be made available soon in India. It will be available in Champagne, Grey, and White colours.
The Intex Aqua Classic features a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass for screen protection. It sports a pixel density of 196ppi. The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Aqua Classic is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone.
It is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731C processor paired with 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage. The handset supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Intex Aqua Classic sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also packs a 0.3-megapixel front camera. It packs a 2100mAh battery with up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 210 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and Micro-USB. The smartphone will support 3G on one SIM and GPRS/ EDGE on second.
The Intex Aqua Classic comes preloaded with apps such as Matrabhasha, 360 security, OLX, Goibibo, Freecharge, Newshunt, Follo, Hike, Chaatz, Saavn, and Opera mini. It measures 145.5x72.6x9.3mm and weighs 160 grams.
Another Intex smartphone, the Aqua Sense 5.1, was revealed last week priced at Rs. 3,999. To refresh on specifications, the Intex Aqua Sense 5.1 came with a 5-inch display with a screen resolution of 480x854 pixels and a pixel density of 294ppi; running Android 5.1 Lollipop; dual-SIM support; powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum (SC7731) processor; 512MB of RAM; 8GB of built-in storage; expandable storage via microSD card; a 2-megapixel rear camera; a 0.3-megapixel front camera, and backed by a 2500mAh battery.
