The Intex Aqua 5X is now listed on the company's website without availability details; however, we expect that the company will announce it in the coming days.
The new Aqua-series Intex smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device which runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. The Aqua 5X comes with a 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA display, and is powered by a dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor clocked at 1GHz along with 256MB of RAM.
The handset comes with mere 14MB inbuilt storage; though it supports expandable storage via microSD card. The Intex Aqua 5X sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. On the connectivity front, the budget Aqua series includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, A-GPS, and Bluetooth.
The Aqua 5X packs a 1300mAh battery, which according to the official listing delivers up to 3-4 hours of talk time and up to 180 hours of standby time. It measures 123.5x63.2x10.5mm; weighs around 106 grams and is listed in Black and Grey colours.
On Tuesday, Intex launched the Intex Aqua Power HD at Rs. 9,444. The dual-SIM based Aqua Power HD runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box and is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The smartphone features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) ONCell IPS display and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core (MT6592M) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. One of the highlights of the handset was a large 4000mAh battery that company claimed can deliver up to 20 hours of talk time (unknown network) and 500 hours of standby time.
Earlier this week, Intex officially listed another Aqua-series smartphone, the Aqua Desire, at a price of Rs. 5,560. There was no official word on the availability details of the Intex Aqua Desire.
