Idea Whiz will feature a 4-inch WVGA display. Under the hood, the smartphone packs in a 1GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal storage of which 1.5GB is user accessible. The storage can be expanded by up to 32GB via a microSD card.
For camera, there is a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera and a VGA one on the front. It is dual-SIM smartphone that runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). There is a 1500 mAh battery, which as per company claims gives 12.5 hours of talktime on 2G and 8.5 hours on 3G.
As per the website, the smartphone will costs Rs. 7,850. To sweeten the deal, Idea will also be offering 3G data benefits and free Idea TV subscription for the first 3 months with a recharge of Rs. 261.
Earlier in the month, Idea Cellular had launched Aurus II smartphone. Idea Arus II is a 3G Android smartphone, which costs Rs. 6,490. The smartphone runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The Aurus II is powered by a 1GHz processor and has 512MB of RAM. It sports a 3.5-inch screen that has a resolution of 320x480 pixels. It features a 3.2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. The phone offers an internal storage memory of 4GB expandable up to 32GB via micro-SD card.
