iberry on Wednesday announced the Auxus Aura A1 smartphone in India, priced at Rs. 9,990. The smartphone will be exclusively sold by eBay India at launch, starting Thursday.
The dual-SIM Auxus Aura A1 runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box with promised future upgrades available OTA. It features a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display covered by Gorilla Glass and sporting OGS technology. It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592 processor coupled with an ARM Mali-450MP and 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The Auxus Aura A1's rear camera, besides shooting full-HD resolution video, also features face recognition, autofocus support, HDR, Panorama, Real Time filters and other functionalities as well. The 8GB of inbuilt storage on the smartphone is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB).
Connectivity options on the iberry Auxus Aura A1 include 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/ A-GPS. The smartphone includes a 2800mAh Li-ion removable battery, measures 146x71x7.5mm and weighs 140 grams (with battery). The handset is available to buy from eBay India.
In August, iberry launched 2 new devices in India - the Auxus Note 5.5 smartphone and Auxus AX04i tablet for Rs. 13,990 and Rs. 6,490 respectively. Both the iberry Auxus Note 5.5 and Auxus AX04i run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
Also, the iberry Auxus Note 5.5 comes with fingerprint scanner feature, which is the highlight of the device at this price point. Notably, the fingerprint scanner has been until now seen in some high-end smartphones such as Apple iPhone 5s, Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One Max.
