iBall might soon launch a new smartphone and a tablet in the Indian market, as details of the two new devices have surfaced on the Internet. While the tablet, the iBall Slide Brace X1, has been listed on the company's website, the smartphone dubbed iBall Xotic has been tipped by an established smartphone retailer.
The iBall Slide Brace X1 tablet, as per the company listing (first spotted by FoneArena), sports a 10.1-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution IPS display and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
The tablet is powered by an ARM Cortex-based octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz that is coupled with 2GB of RAM. Besides a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, the iBall Slide Brace X1 features 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). The listing also shows the iBall Slide Brace X1 to come equipped with dual speakers and be backed by a 7800mAh battery. The tablet design faintly resembles the Lenovo Yoga 10 series.
As for the iBall Xotic, the smartphone is yet to be listed on the company website but was tipped by to up for pre-orders by retailer Mahesh Telecom. The retailer also claimed the smartphone will be priced at Rs. 7,999, but did not provide availability details.
The specifications of the iBall Xotic were not detailed on the retailer's Facebook post beyond the fact it contains 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage.
The firm last month launched its Windows Phone 8.1-powered iBall Andi 4L Pulse smartphone in India at Rs. 4,999. It makes the smartphone arguably one of the cheapest Windows Phone handsets in India, following the launch of the Celkon Win 400 for Rs. 4,979 and the Lava Iris Win1 at Rs. 4,999.
