iBall has expanded its Andi smartphone series with the launch of Andi 5K Sparkle at Rs. 9,999 for the Indian market.

The iBall Andi 5K Sparkle runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box and is a dual-SIM phablet with support for GSM+GSM and dual standby.

It features a 5-inch IPS qHD display with 540x960 pixels resolution and offers a pixel density of 220ppi. The phablet is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor (unspecified chipset) along with 512MB of RAM.

It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and also includes a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Andi 5K Sparkle comes with 4GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. It packs an 1850mAh battery. Connectivity options on the phablet include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS/ AGPS and 3G. The Andi 5K Sparkle measures 145x74x11mm and weighs 168 grams.

Earlier in January, iBall launched two entry-level smartphones in its Andi series, the iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple 2G and iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple 3G. As the names suggest, only the latter supported 3G connectivity and the rest of the specifications were identical.

The two iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple devices come with dual-SIM support and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. Both variants of the Andi 4.5 Ripple come with a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixel) display, and are powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core Cortex A7 chipset coupled with 512MB of RAM.

For camera optics, the iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a front facing camera (unspecified resolution) for video calling functionality. Both variants of the iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple include 4GB of inbuilt storage, out which around 2GB will be user-available and can be further expanded up to 32GB.
