Huawei is set to launch its latest smartphones - Huawei P20, P20 Lite, P20 Pro - at an event scheduled at the end of this month. The company gave the smartphone unveiling game at Mobile World Congress a miss, as it announced a launch event to be held on March 27) instead. Ahead of the official announcement of the smartphones, several rumours have been floating around the Internet, providing an idea of what to expect from the P20 series. Now, a live image of the Huawei P20 Lite has surfaced showcasing the smartphone and its specifications.

Noted tipster Evan Blass published an image of the Huawei P20 Lite, showcasing the iPhone X-style notch which is expected to feature across the range. As per Blass' source the handset sports a 5.6-inch display with 1080x2250 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, there will also be a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. According to Blass' report in Venture Beat, the smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 SoC comprised of a quad-core SoC clocked at 2.48GHz coupled with a 1.7GHz quad-core SoC.

Additionally, the Huawei P20 Lite will run Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 running on top. It will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The handset is said to be fuelled by and a 3520mAh battery. In terms of options, the P20 Lite will sport a dual-camera setup featuring two 16-megapixel sensors with hybrid zoom.

With around a month to go now, alleged official renders of most of the handsets in the Huawei P20 series have surfaced online. While the images appear to direct towards a futuristic design, the highlight of Huawei's upcoming smartphones could be a triple camera setup. However, it might feature only in the premium variant of the smartphone.
